The new moon is more dangerous than you think

Kurumi’s POV

I woke up and knew it had happened. This curse was unstoppable. ‘I hope that they locked all the doors’ I thought. Then something sweet hit me, it filled my lungs and tempted me. “The smell of blood” I whispered, I couldn’t stop it, my other self took over and I felt myself running towards my balcony ‘let them have shut it, please!’ I prayed. But in vain, they had forgotten the balcony door and I felt my body slip out and into the night, but not before I heard Star yell, “No! Stop, Kurumi!”

Amu’s POV

“I’m going out on the balcony” I called to my charas, stepping outside. Something streaked past me but it was too fast to see. “Star, you were meant to do the bedroom first!” I heard the panicked voice of Kuroro say, “I thought I had! I’m sorry!” Star yelled back. Why did they sound so panicked? “Are you girls alright?” I asked them. They looked at me for a moment before whispering to each other for a moment, “we’ll explain later, you need to help us find Kurumi, and quick!” there was such panic in their voices that I couldn’t disagree. After telling Ran to go and find the other guardians and anyone else that would be of any help I character transformed with Suu and ran down the streets without even the light of the moon to guide me.

Ikuto’s POV

‘That was a fun party; I’ll have to get Kurumi to invite me and Amu to another of her parties in the future’ I thought as I walked home, Utau having gone to stay with Yukari for the night meant that I could walk home in silence. I saw Amu run down an alley a little way ahead of me, “hey, Amu, why are you running?” I called to her; she turned around with a surprise look on her face, “we need to find Kurumi, but be careful if you run into her” she called. I began running after her, “what did she mean, nya?” Yoru asked, “I’m hopefully going to find that out” I told him. I was running next to Amu in three seconds with a chara change.

Tadase’s POV

“Kiseki, what’s wrong?” I asked him, he was standing very still and had his eyes closed, “there’s a strange presence nearby” he said. I could smell something disgusting nearby. “Tadase!” a voice from behind me called, I turned to see Amu running towards me with Ikuto close behind her. “Tadase, have you seen Kurumi?” Amu asked. I’d rarely seen her so panicked. Ikuto looked up as thought he had heard something unpleasant. ‘What’s he thinking about?’ I thought but before I could ask he ran off around the corner. Amu and I followed.

Normal POV

Ikuto leapt round the corner and froze; Amu and Tadase did the same when they saw what was in front of them. Kurumi was just outside the circle of light the street lamp was giving, she was kneeling on the floor with the limp body of what looked like a fox in her arms. When she heard them she stood up and turned around. The sight was horrifying...
